Partners & Collaborations

Success In Challenges regularly partners with other agencies, service providers, and community organizations to multiply our impact — extending our reach and amplifying what we can offer the Long Beach community.

North Long Beach Collaborative (2022–2026)

SIC serves as a Design Team member alongside Puente LA and the National Pacific Islander Education Network (NPIEN). The Collaborative expands the leadership base in North Long Beach and establishes Neighborhood Teams to address key community priorities — with a focus on promoting peace and social connectedness.

SIC works with the Sankofa parent group at Perry Lindsey Middle School. Recent highlights include facilitating a community-wide Black History Celebration, providing mentorship attendance awards to African American students, and supporting the LBUSD city-wide Sankofa recognition event.

City of Long Beach Youth Coalition — Invest in Youth (IIY)

In partnership with Khmer Girls in Action and other identified organizations

SIC provides core leadership to youth leaders working toward the collective implementation of the Youth and Emerging Adults Strategic Plan and Youth Fund. Our team is focused on housing — developing a proposal for city-wide youth vote for summer activation.

One Long Beach — Community Violence Intervention & Prevention Initiative (CVIPI)

One Long Beach meets monthly and participates in city-wide efforts including the Long Beach budgeting process. The group recently completed the Long Beach Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Data Report, using an evidence-based and data-driven approach to address the broader impacts of violence across Long Beach.

Men of the Covenant

Men of the Covenant is a community-based men's partnership that works alongside SIC to support youth and strengthen community. This program is operated in collaboration with community men.

Fitness & Wellness with CORE

SIC collaborates with CORE to provide fitness and wellness programming for community members.

Youth Power — YEAH Young Adults Program

In partnership with Youth Power, SIC supports the YEAH (Young Adults) program, connecting young adults in Long Beach with leadership opportunities and community resources.

Ongoing Community Services

In coordination with partner organizations, SIC continues to provide transitional housing support, school backpack giveaways, and community outreach to ensure Long Beach families have access to what they need.
